Boxes 4 Better was started by Peter Litzau and Jonathan Herriges, two high school students. They wanted to find a unique and creative way to help less fortunate children on the holidays, sparking the idea to collect cardboard boxes and turn them into toys. They also thought it’d be a good idea to reach out to the community for their help as well. They were inspired to help give back after seeing the joy in the children’s faces for the Spanish Toy drive at Wauwatosa East.
